Riverdale Body Shop was founded in 1970 by Jerry Seida and a neighborhood friend in Riverdale
at the corner of 142nd St. and Indiana Ave. The initial business operated out of a converted
gas statiion and car wash. As the business grew, a new customer-friendly office was constructed,
and the facilities were expanded.

In 1986 Jerry's partner relocated to Arizona, and Jerry took 100% ownership of the business.
In that same year, Jerry relocated the businessin Dolton, a few blocks east of the original location.

In early 1990's Jerry's eldest son, Larry, joined the business, and together they started
to add new locations. Tinley Park was added in 1994. In 1996 the Schererville, IN facility
was opened and, to this day, serves as the corporate headquarters for Riverdale Body Shop.
Four additional locations have been added to our service area since.

In recent years Jerry's youngest son, Tom, joined the business. The Seidas are involved
in all aspects of the business and constantly look for ways to better serve our customers.
With our staff, we are working towards technology additions that will allow our customers
to track their repairs online. We are also constantly updating our repair technology
to handle the latest in vehicle technology and materials, including aluminum welders and
frame racks.
